Ghostless
macOS
Write the script. Get the notes.
A native Fountain screenwriting app for Mac. Write for free, compare drafts, and ask an optional coach for notes that never rewrite your script.
Inside the app.
Writing
Ghostless formats Fountain screenplays as you type. Plan beats and scenes in the outline, import and export Final Draft files, and export PDFs for readers.
The coach
Turn on the optional coach when you want a second read. It can point out dialogue that explains too much, continuity slips and setups that never pay off. It asks questions; it never rewrites your script.
The coach is free to try on your own script, then unlocks with a one-time purchase. Writing and the other tools remain free.
Rewriting
Keep snapshots of earlier drafts and use Compare to see what changed. Follow a character or an object through the script to spot where it goes missing.
Requirements
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
Privacy
Your scripts stay on your Mac. The coach is off until you turn it on. When it reads, selected scenes are sent through Ghostless’s server to TypeSafe’s Jev for review; Ghostless keeps none of that text. See the privacy policy for details.
